Although a very small charity, last year, along with support from other projects, the Trust donated £10,000 to Alder Hey children’s hospital to sponsor an en suite room in Layla’s name, for very sick children and their parents, enabling parents to remain with their children throughout their stay in hospital. Please visit www.laylas-trust.co.uk for more information.
This year the ride will depart Greenhous at 8.30am on Saturday 29th August and will be heading to Wales with a few stops on the way. Upon arrival at Porthmadog there are showers and changing facilities as well as a bar for a well-earned refreshment! For anyone needing help with transport home, help will be provided.
On the evening of the ride, Cardigan View Holiday Park hosts an evening event to help raise further funds and celebrate the achievement of the cyclists. This is a fantastic evening of family entertainment which includes live music, a bar and BBQ. Traditionally, many of the team’s families, locals and holiday makers await the cyclist’s arrival to cheer them over the finish line.
If you would like to join the team, please drop Tristan an email on Tristan.firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone on 01952 265400 ext 2404.
Help with any training or coaching can be provided to help newcomers achieve the goal. The event is open to employees, family members and friends. Regular cycle training sessions take place. For more information contact Tristan.
