Greenhous Vauxhall have now provided an Insignia which will be used by the Salop Leisure team to collect and deliver towing caravans to their customers over the next two months. The Insignia is a family-friendly tow car. In a recent testing sessions the Insignia Sports Tourer with a 2.0-litre Ecoflex engine proved that it can make a very capable tow car. It delivers 138bhp and will pull a 1,344kg Bailey Unicorn II Cadiz tourer from 30-60mph in 14.2 seconds. This Insignia Sports Tourer has a maximum towing limit of 1,600kg.
It has an excellent fuel economy of 32.2 mpg whilst towing a middleweight family caravan on a mixture or motorway and A roads, including steep hills. When unhitched the Ecoflex 2.0litre engine will deliver an official combined economy figure of 72.4mpg.
At speed the Vauxhall Insignia feels stable and in lane-changing, the Insignia grips hard and remains secure at all speeds. The Insignia’s electronic parking brake will hold the car and caravan still on the 1-in-10 slope and will release smoothly.
Greenhous welcome Salop Leisure customers to their dealerships where experienced staff are on hand to talk through, and demonstrate the models which will tow the specific weight of caravan they are purchasing. We have suitable models available from our Vauxhall, Nissan, Volvo, Renault car dealerships and VW and Ford commercials.
