Greenhous Vauxhall supports former World Motorcycle Champion’s Race School.

​To motorcycle racing fans the name Ron Haslam conjures up memories of one of the top British motorcyclists of recent times.Ron had a career racing that spanned over 30 years, and in his career he won three World titles, four British Championships and rode in 110 Grand prix races, also winning a host of other awards.

Ron and his wife Ann run the highly successful Ron Haslam Racing School based at Castle Donington in Leicestershire.Next year they will celebrate 24 years operation and over 3,600 people per year attend the race school to benefit from expert instruction from Ron and his team of experienced instructors.

With over 100 Honda bikes available to his customers, the school required specific vans to be used to move bikes on and off the track and other transport needs around the school.Greenhous Vauxhall of Telford have stepped in and provided the Ron Haslam Race School with a Vauxhall Movano 2.3 Cdti 130 van as part of a sponsorship deal.The van is an ideal size and with the help of a ramp bikes are easily moved in and out of the van.

The Ron Haslam Race School offers five courses which cater for any motorcyclist, whether new to motorcycling, from the age of 12, right through to experienced riders taking on the Grand Prix circuit. All leathers, boots, gloves, helmets and back protection are supplied if required, and are included in the price. Riders are also provided with fully comprehensive insurance including personal accident insurance cover.

Entry level courses use the Honda CBR125, CBR300R, and CB500 motorbikes. For the more experienced riders who are wishing to improve their riding skills and track craft, the more powerful, faster HONDA CBR650R machines are used. For those wishing to take on the Elite Experience, they will ride the acclaimed HONDA CBR1000RR FIREBLADE SP with one to one tuition, data logging of performance and detailed debriefing.

All of the courses are delivered by accomplished tutors; with track courses there is one instructor to two students and the elite riders go out with one instructor each. With such attention to the rider of whatever ability, all are sure to enjoy the experience.
