Richard may has recently settled in to his new career as a Sales Executive at the Greenhous Vauxhall dealership in Trench Lock, Telford.Richard, who is from Ditton Priors in South Shropshire has spent his entire career in the automotive business.
Educated at the Endowed School in Bridgnorth, he took on a YTS (Apprenticeship) as a trainee sales person at Rutters in Bridgnorth.That led to him spending over twenty years in sales at the dealership.The last 6 years as Sales Manager. Rutters closed as a business and Richard moved to David Dexters also in Bridgnorth where he set up the car sales, building it up and they moved into larger premises.
Now he is with Greenhous and is happy to be plying his trade with one of the largest independent motor dealers in the country.
Richard is a family man, married to Sacha and with two daughters. As if the family do not take up enough of his time, Richard has a passion for rallying which he has participated in for over 20 years.He is the co-driver and navigator with his friend Tim Cains and they race a Peugeot 309 with an MI 16 valve 1.9 litre engine.
After a recent break in competing due to Richard having a crash whilst cycling, the pair are set to return to competition this November in an event which takes in 20 stages in Wales, Yorkshire and South Scotland completing over 300 miles of off-road rallying.Richard and Tim have competed in the Rally GB National Section on four occasions, once winning their class.
