Greenhous continues to support youth football in Telford and Wrekin.
For many years the Greenhous Group has sponsored grassroots football in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin through the support of their respective Schools and Colleges Football Associations. Richard Potts, a franchise director for Greenhous, was on hand at the Greenhous Vauxhall dealership in Trench Lock, Telford to hand over a cheque to Vic Maher, chairman of the Telford and Wrekin Schools and Colleges Football Association. Vic himself presented Richard with a framed photographic montage of the winners of the Telford schools competitions.

Vic Maher was fulsome in his praise of Greenhous and reflected on the value of the support saying: “We have been extremely fortunate to benefit from the sponsorship provided by Greenhous who are keen supporters of football in the county.  Their support is impressive and the enthusiasm they show when making the presentations at our finals make it a special occasion for the players.  Their support has made an incredible difference to what we can provide for our young players.

“Telford & Wrekin Schools & Colleges Football Association was resurrected some six years ago and grows with each season.  We now provide the full range of boys and girls district competitions at secondary and primary level thanks to Greenhous. In collaboration with AFC Telford United we also have boys and girl’s representative football up to Youth level.  Our district sides have achieved impressive successes competing in the west midlands against significantly larger clubs and associations. AFC Telford United has been an active partner of the association and we have benefitted enormously from the support of the club. Together we are totally committed to providing the best opportunities for our young players and I am delighted to see the positive response from the community.

“On behalf of the players, it is a big thank you to Greenhous for their active support and encouragement.  The enthusiastic response of our young footballers and their families confirms how important football is to this community.  The association is very grateful for this support at a time when finances are limited. We are so proud of the way our young players respond to the opportunity.  Enormous thanks are due Greenhous.”
