Mud Run raises funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Mud Run raises funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Seven brave competitors from Greenhous, mostly from their Vauxhall Telford branch, decided to attempt the Mud Run at Hawkestone Park a few weeks ago. A great team spirit was on show and some wore fancy dress, but all had a really wet and muddy time raising funds for an excellent cause.

The group was formed as a result of two long term members of staff at the Greenhous Vauxhall dealership in Trench Lock, Telford having suffered with heart conditions.  Paul Chater, one of the senior technicians there, came up with the idea to gather a group together to attempt the Mud Run as a team.

As Paul says: “You really have to do something when you see your mates suffering with an illness, and heart problems could affect any of us so why not raise some money for the British Heart Foundation?  I had hoped we would get a lot more taking part, but fair play to the lads who took part it is a gruelling event, but we helped each other along.”

The group included Paul’s colleagues Chris Arnold, Andy Gittoes, Ricky Hotchkiss, Alex Drimet as well as his son Sam and Greenhous Customer Care Manager, Liam White.  They are all pictured at the finish line.  Together the team raised £331.34.

Paul says that he is looking to do another Mud Run next year for a different charity and hopes that there will be plenty of support from the Greenhous staff.
