Successful cycle trip raises funds for Layla Pitt Remembrance Trust.
‘It could not have been a better day’ were the words organiser Tristan Pitt used to describe the 123 mile cycle ride from Greenhous Vauxhall in Trench Lock, Telford to the Cardigan View Holiday Park at Black Rock Sands, Porthmadog on the Welsh coast.

Tristan and his wife Rachel, along with help from a lot of family and friends, had organised the annual charity cycle trip to support the Layla Pitt Remembrance Trust, which is devoted to the memory of their daughter, Layla.

Tristan is a sales executive at Greenhous Vauxhall and he was delighted with the turnout revealing: “We had 20 riders for the trip, which is not for the occasional rider. I had colleagues from other Greenhous dealerships, as well as family and friends, who were all determined to complete the journey.  We had a wonderful, incident free day and celebrated with family fun activities and a barbecue at Cardigan View.”

Along the way the group stopped at Salop Leisure at Emstrey, just outside Shrewsbury, to receive a cheque from the popular motorhome and caravan business which added to that already donated.  The Trust continues to support Hope House Children’s Hospice and raising funds for further children and family facilities at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

The next event in support of the Layla Pitt Remembrance Trust will be a Ball on the 19th November at Patshull Park Hotel. Anyone who would like to donate to the Layla Pitt Remembrance Trust should contact Rachel Pitt via e mail  Please visit the website
